Plantiemoji: See How Your Plant Feels

A one-of-a-kind smart plant sensor that lets your plant express its feelings with emojis — Plant care without the guesswork

Plantiemoji was built on the insight that most plant sensors stop at data: they give moisture levels, light readings, and temperature charts, but leave the user to figure out what any of it actually means for the living plant in front of them. The result is uncertainty that data alone never resolves. Plantiemoji changes the interface from numbers to a single emoji expression, compressing complex multi-sensor output into an emotional signal anyone can read at a glance. Under the surface, a multi-sensor array tracks soil moisture, light intensity, temperature, humidity, and air pressure in real time, while an AI engine draws on controlled-environment agriculture algorithms—the same principles used in fully automated plant factories and developed with expertise from Wageningen University, the world’s leading agricultural research institution—to interpret those readings in the context of the plant’s specific environment: local weather, indoor microclimates, pot size, and soil type. The model grows smarter with use, studying the user’s care patterns and the home’s micro-ecosystem to deliver increasingly tailored, predictive guidance. The emoji display is magnetic and detachable, letting the user carry a visual link to the plant away from the pot. Privacy is core to the design: no cameras, no microphones, no behavior tracking—the only data collected is the environmental conditions the plant lives in. Plantiemoji was created by plant scientists who previously founded a company that twice won the International Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge, applying competition-grade controlled-environment expertise to the everyday windowsill.
