ArcBlue C42: First Smart Full-Frame Astrophotography System

Co-Created with 10+ Experts | Cooled Full-Frame Sensor | Open-Optics | GWI™ | Streamlined Workflow | 3-Axis Encoder Harmonic Tracking

ArcBlue C42 is a modular astrophotography system that combines a cooled full-frame camera, a compact equatorial mount and integrated imaging software. The camera uses a 24 MP Sony IMX410 sensor with 5.94 µm pixels. Active cooling maintains the sensor at up to 30°C below ambient temperature to reduce thermal noise during long exposures. A Pulsar harmonic-drive mount follows the sky, while the HALO camera-angle adjuster supports composition control. Lens and telescope interface options let photographers choose compatible optics. ArcBlue OS brings these components together in a coordinated workflow for capturing deep-sky subjects. The 36 × 24 mm sensor records 14-bit RAW FITS files, preserving data for later processing. Its optical window passes 350–750 nm light, including H-alpha wavelengths used to photograph emission nebulae. Stable cooling supports consistent dark-frame calibration across an imaging session. The compact Pulsar mount uses harmonic reducers and a 23-bit encoder, with synchronized axes for tracking and composition. The system also includes Guiding While Imaging, bringing guidance into the coordinated capture workflow. Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon EF and M68 interface choices support different camera lenses or telescope setups. The open-optics approach lets users select the field of view appropriate to the target rather than relying on one fixed telescope. Together, the camera, mount, angle adjustment and software provide a portable platform for deliberate night-sky photography.
