A personalized sound experience that responds to your brain activity as you wind down before bed.
The LumiSleep D1 is an EEG headband that monitors brain activity during sleep and delivers adaptive sound that responds to the wearer’s detected sleep state, providing a sleep-audio experience driven by direct neurological measurement rather than a fixed timer. The EEG monitoring is the distinguishing capability: electroencephalography reads the brain’s electrical activity, enabling the device to detect actual sleep stages — light sleep, deep sleep, and REM — rather than inferring sleep from motion or heart rate as less direct sensors do. This brain-activity insight is the foundation for the adaptive sound function: the device adjusts its audio output based on the detected sleep state, playing audio to help the user fall asleep, modulating it through the night, and pausing or changing it when the sleep stage shifts. The adaptive-sound positioning reflects this responsiveness — the audio follows the user’s actual sleep rather than running on a fixed schedule that might keep playing after the user is asleep or disrupt deeper sleep stages. The headband form factor positions the EEG sensors against the head during sleep, while delivering audio without earbuds. LumiSleep targets users who want sleep audio that responds to their actual brain activity for more effective, less disruptive sleep assistance.
