LunchOn is a smart portable lunch box that integrates bidirectional active heating and cooling, solving the two-sided temperature problem of packed meals: hot food that goes cold before lunch and cold food that warms to unsafe temperatures without refrigeration. A conventional insulated lunch box is a passive container — it slows the drift of food toward ambient temperature but cannot hold a hot meal hot or a cold meal cold over the hours between packing in the morning and eating at midday. LunchOn’s active thermal system replaces passive insulation with solid-state temperature control, heating the internal compartment to keep warm food at serving temperature or cooling it to keep chilled items safely cold, both driven by an onboard power source. The smart positioning suggests temperature settings, timing controls, and possibly app connectivity that lets the user schedule the heating or cooling cycle to finish exactly at mealtime, so food is at the ideal temperature the moment the user sits down to eat.
