Clinically Validated on 2,000+ PSG Nights | Help Reduce Snoring | Sleep-Aware Aid & Alarm | Smart Home | No Camera, Privacy-First
Sleepal addresses the sleep gap: most people spend a third of their life asleep yet know almost nothing about what happens during those hours because wearables and phone apps offer numbers without answers. The device sits on the nightstand and uses radar-based contactless sensing to track sleep with presence rather than attachment, much like a clinician observing silently from across the room. Its core AI model contains 100 million parameters and uses proprietary frequency-domain self-attention, trained on synchronized PSG data collected in collaboration with leading hospitals where patients sleep under medical-grade polsomnography while Sleepal records simultaneously—over 2,000 such paired nights power the model. The result is respiratory rate tracking within RMSE 2 of medical devices. Sleepal uniquely tracks the interaction between body position and nighttime breathing, helping users understand whether back-sleeping vs side-sleeping changes their snoring and breathing patterns—a feature supported by clinical research showing positional therapy can lower AHI by over 50% for many patients. A free tier provides rhythm-aware lighting, smart alarms, sleep tracking, and the bluetooth speaker; an optional AI+ subscription adds comprehensive sleep staging, snoring analysis, posture guidance, a personalized AI sleep coach, and a growing library of expert-curated sleep content—all AI developed using clinical datasets under informed consent, never personal user data. Privacy is foundational: no camera, no personal data used for model training, full GDPR compliance. The lamp intelligently dims as sleep is detected, wakes the user during lighter sleep stages for a gentler morning, lets a wave or roll-over snooze the alarm without reaching for a phone, and keeps the alarm active until the user physically gets out of bed. Sleepal has been validated by Prof. Dr. Thomas Penzel, President of the World Sleep Society, and was showcased at CES 2026.
