BARKUTAN is a glass hip flask that addresses a specific gap in flask design: glass flasks with leather sleeves exist, but they are either fully wrapped and permanently glued so a broken glass renders the entire flask waste, or they have a removable sleeve that does not wrap 360° and leaves the glass partially exposed. BARKUTAN combines both— a 360° full-wrap top-grain leather sleeve that is also removable— a specific combination that took 19 months of R&D to achieve. The insert is lead-free glass, chosen because it is neutral and does not interfere with aroma or taste, preserving spirits the way the bottle does rather than introducing the metallic notes that metal flasks impart over time. A lens-style viewing window on the front shows the liquid level and clarity at a glance, eliminating overfill anxiety and letting the user monitor the condition of the spirit. The cap-and-liner seal is pocket-safe: every drop stays locked in, preventing leaks, smells, and awkward moments in a pocket or bag. The custom snap-button cap tether— engineered specifically for a glass flask, not borrowed from a metal one— keeps the cap attached and includes a label slot for noting which spirit is inside when carrying multiple flasks. A spare wooden cap is included for metal-free settings such as venues where metal caps are restricted.
